Blue Alchemy: Opening Event
Blue Alchemy is a large-scale installation created by artist Renee Greenlee, featuring a collection of 12 cyanotypes on 3’x24’ silk panels. Blue Alchemy will be on display at The FRAME through early 2024.
About the work:
Blue Alchemy was inspired by the Lake Champlain watershed. The exhibit and associated programming build connections between the public and the watershed in new ways.
About the artist:
Renee Greenlee is a photographer based in Vermont. In addition to her professional and community projects, she utilizes film and historic processes to explore place, liminality and the work of being present. To that end, she creates cyanotypes of her local watershed, bringing a blue world to light. Renee Greenlee was awarded a Creation Grant from the Vermont Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.
